ORDERING HERBS FROM DESERT BLOOM
FOR SILVER CITY AREA RESIDENTS
Dear Friends, customers, clients, and newcomers to the Silver City - Grant County area,
Hello ! I wanted to be sure to let you know that I continue to be available as a practicing clinical herbalist from my home offices, and that I continue to make all the Desert Bloom Herbs products you got to know and love when I operated the Desert Bloom Herbs store front on Bullard street. (1994 - 2003)
Ever since I closing my downtown herb store in the summer of 2003, I have been doing herbal political work behind the scenes, to protect New Mexican's legal access to herbs and to traditional practitioners.
In my practice, I continue to focus more on in-depth herbal consultations, and find that my home offices offer an atmosphere which has no distractions, and a more profound level of service can be offered.
I offer these herbal consultations on a sliding scale fee, ($35 to $60), because I feel the acute need to keep costs down for those who need some real help, but cannot afford it. More and more people are unable to afford the astronomical costs of health care insurance, and this is my attempt to provide a viable alternative... herbs, the medicine of the Natural World. You can
request a professional herbal consultation by clicking this link and sending me an e-mail. I will return your correspondence promptly.
I also offer you access to all the fine herbal products listed here on this site on the products page. If you are unfamiliar with the products we offer, I encourage you to look around our website to see the complete line of products we make or have available. You can also download our free, printable catalog to keep on your computer or to print and take with you .
If you look in the herbal information section of the site, you'll find links, text and plant image files, in an attempt to help you find accurate information about the "real deal" world of herbal medicine, Humanity's most prevalent form of medical treatment.
My telephone number, 388-3542 continues its listing in the phone book under Richard McDonald in the white pages.
We no longer have a yellow pages listing.
When you call during business hours...( Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am until 6:00 p.m.),
you will usually reach me in person at home, where I am available for professional herbal consulting, (by appointment), or to take and fill your special order and arrange for its pick up.
My current office setting and new format of working as a "village herbalist" from my home office, located in the midst of an acre-sized perennial herb garden, suits my purposes much better than working in a store with too many interruptions. It is also a better place to train herbal apprentices, and serve the needs of my clients.
I continue to travel often, out into the forests and deserts to collect and photograph the medicinal plants of our region. As a result, you will continue to have natures freshest harvest of herbs at your fingertips.
If you are interested in attending herbal field trips, or other classes (including apprenticeships) I offer, please take a look at the classes page to see information about the next herbal excursion, and then call or e-mail us to talk and make arrangements.
If you are interested in helping reactivate the Silver City Herb Guild, give us a call. In the meantime, you can take a look at the Silver City Herb Guild (archives) pages.
Now, local folks can continue to find these great products easily.
If you're from the Las Cruces area, stop in to Mountain View Market Coop to find a wide variety of our products.
If you have purchased products from us in the past, you are already aware of their exceptional quality. I encourage you to continue to use Desert Bloom Herbs "Results-Oriented" products and services to keep yourself and your family healthy.
We wish you a bright, fun future, and hope that we can continue to serve your health care needs
With kind regards,
Richard McDonald, C.H.
Clinical Herbalist
Owner, Desert Bloom Herbs.
